John Olsen

John P. Olsen first began to interview New Age musicians and write album reviews after meeting B.T. Fasmer, webhost of NewAgeMusic.nu. Today John hosts his NewAgeMusicWorld.Com affiliate website while remaining an energetic contributing author, friend, and partner with B.T. Fasmer. He has discovered their overseas friendship and support for the many talented musicians around the world they cover, is an important and enjoyable aspect of daily life. Happily married for many years, he and his wife are lifelong residents of Springfield Missouri for 50 years now.

His music history consists of years playing piano and trumpet, performing in Concert, Marching, and Jazz bands during Secondary & High School years. During his career at General Electric for 28 years, health reasons lead to the couple’s decision for John to retire early by choice at age 46 to become a stay at home house husband. This uneasy decision has ultimately proven to be beneficial for husband and wife plus enables him to pursue more creative and music interests when time permits.

John was also a licensed Realtor with Century 21, Volunteer Firefighter, Emergency Medical Technician, and American Red Cross Instructor. During earlier years, martial arts, house boating, scuba diving, and spear fishing were perpetual weekend adventures. Another lifetime pursuit of writing entry descriptions in an Invention Journal, where over 320 invention ideas are characterized in text, became the early foundation to his writing style today.

The best part of writing about music he felt, is meeting musical talents and the many individuals devoted to the New Age music industry, acquiring many friends in the past while realizing many more friends await him in the future.
