BT Fasmer

BT Fasmer, New Age Music Reviewer for NewAgeMusic.nuBT Fasmer has been a new age music fan since age 7, when he first heard Andreas Vollenweider’s Dancing with the Lion as background music on a local TV station. In the late 1980s and early 1990s he mostly experienced new age music through the influence artists like Tangerine Dream and Jean Michel Jarre had on computer game music - and with the release of Enigma’s MCMXC a.D. (1990) and then World Mix (1993) by Deep Forest, he was hooked for life. Discovering Mike Oldfield’s Tubular Bells (1973) was also a memory for life.

Being interested in both technology and music reviewing, BT Fasmer in May 2008 launched the webpage NewAgeMusic.nu. Thanks to this project he has interviewed many of the biggest names in new age music, and the page is currently being syndicated by NewAgeMusicNews.com, Mog.com and the New Age Music Circle. But he has not done it all himself. His American friend and colleague John P. Olsen is also contributing with both reviews and interviews.

BT Fasmer is also an active radio host. He is the channel director for Sky.fm’s popular New Age Music Channel and owner for the Live365 Top 10 (in the NA music category) channel New Age Stars.

BT (which stands for Bjorn Tore), was born in Bergen, Norway, in 1980. He holds a masters’ degree and works at the Norwegian International Ship Register (NIS).
