Joseph Akins
Dr. Joseph Akins (pronounced "Ache-ins") is a recording artist and professor in the greater Nashville, Tennessee area. With a background in performance with notable county, rock and jazz groups, he has released three solo albums of original contemporary instrumental music titled Keys to the Heart, Masterpeace and Spirit Touch. The latter was released in fall of 2009 following the success of the first two, which received worldwide airplay and recognition. He continually travels the United States to often performing with popular contemporary pianists such as David Lanz, Liz Story and David Nevue. He teaches music and music production as an award-winning associate professor at the prestigious Department of Recording Industry at Middle Tennessee State University.Click here to visit the Joseph Akins website.

New Age Music is a wide-ranging music genre which incorporates many other genres including ambient music, chillout music, atmospheric music, world music, jazz, classical and electronic music (amongst others).
