"Reminded me of some of the earlier works of David Lanz"
RJ Lannan, Zone Music Reporter.

Featuring solo piano numbers and tracks with light accompaniment from cello, zen drum, bass and keyboard, Spirit Touch showcases the impressive artistic growth Joseph has undergone with three solo albums. Since it's release it has remained in the Top 100 Airplay for Zone Music Reporter peaking at #7 in November of 2009. In January of 2010 it was selected as one of Kathy Parson's Favorite Top 40 for the Decade.

RJ Lannan of Zone Music Reporter said, "Spirit Touch is technically correct in every way with just the right amount of feeling. It has an appealing mix of solo and instrumental works that beckons to your heart with every listen."

Spirit Touch was recorded at Middle Tennessee State University where both Joseph Akins and the engineer, Bill Crabtree, are professors in the Department of Recording Industry at MTSU.
